<description>I was asked to contribute an illustration to the Hype Machine's Annual Zeitgeist.

With Camera Obscura as my chosen artist, I sketched out a couple of different ideas and ended up creating some lettering that played off of the pulp magazine/horror sound of their name.

Read about the process here.

<description>More lettering for the Hype Machine's Zeitgeist.

Avoiding the obvious connotations of the name was key for me, so I created a piece whose aesthetic paid homage to the Rat Pack, the Vegas of days-gone-by, cocktail lounges and luxury (if not class and elegance).

Built with the Reevoo team, we created this version … well, because the internets likes zombies (and because we were throwing a press event and wanted it to have a bit of our own particular style).

With this in mind, I conceptualised four boring, mundane and fictitious fake jobs to contrast with eight real college-graduate jobs.

<description>I designed a custom newspaper for Last.fm to showcase their Best of 2009 feature. All of the content is based on their extensive data which allowed for some beautiful visualisations (see the centre spread). The entire piece was conceptualised and designed in four and a half days, something which would not have been possibly without the excellent Last.fm team and their amazing data visualisation engineers.
